Oakfield Consultancy is not affiliated to any other organisation, contractor or supplier and is located in Clifton, Bristol but offers a nationwide service.

My aim is to keep you, your organisation or your Clients in full compliance with all current fire legislation, regulation and best practice and that your staff and visitors remain safe and healthy whilst at work.​

I make the process of compliance as painless and as easy as possible. I will provide you or your Clients with the external support and expertise to develop and implement company specific and easy to understand fire policies and procedures and to fully meet your legal obligations to staff, clients and the general public.

I will endeavour to provide this at reasonable cost and at minimal levels of disruption to you and to ensure that it enhances your business by allowing you and your staff to operate safely, whilst giving you the freedom to do what you do best - run your business.

I have over 40 years professional experience as a Chartered Building Surveyor in the design, construction, maintenance and management of property, with the last 15 years specialising in Fire Risk Management. This enables me to fully understand the wide ranging safety requirements and obligations placed on employers and building owners / managers by current fire legislation and how often simple, and in many cases minimal cost, solutions can be developed and put in place to meet them.​

  • Fire Risk Assessments - compliance with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

  • Development of Fire Safety Plans and Emergency Procedures

  • Advice on Passive and Active fire safety systems

  • Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans for occupiers requiring assistance in an evacuation or other emergency

  • Advice at design stage of new build and refurbishment projects on fire safety, means of escape and disabled egress
